So, What's the Vibe?

So many people tell me they are so nervous for their first appointments!

We are going to have a great time together. My goal is for you to feel good in your skin, prepared with our game plan for working together, and empowered in the health of your skin!

What is it like to work with me?

I think I naturally gravitated to this industry for multiple reasons.

I spent many years feeling insecure and unhappy in my skin. I read books about all natural approaches, I tried to use clean products, but I struggled to find a real solution for my skin needs.

Something I have noticed since I first started in this field over three years ago is my hunger for information and education in my clients. I find it so interesting that we have so much access to information (and each other) through our smart phones and the internet, yet in a lot of areas, many of us are struggling with how to solve our problems or educate ourselves.

Something I have learned in the course of my business is how valuable it is to learn from experts in their field for help. I work myself into kinks sometimes in my business and personal life that I can't se a solution and all it takes is a professional looking at the problem and offering a solution (or often multiple!).

Being in this industry I have access to a lot of different 'toys' (machines, lasers, products, peels, etc). I am also a big consumer of the things in this industry, both in the beauty side and the health and wellness side. I have been in a few too many rooms where I was made to feel uncomfortable, embarrassed, or second guessing myself because of how the provider interacted with me.

This is a vulnerable industry. I feel honored every time a client opens up to me about something they are concerned about, or something they are going through in their personal life that is impacting their skin. It is uncomfortable to tell someone you aren't happy about something and to ask for help in how to improve it. I have sat in that chair many times and I know how difficult that can be.

At AEA, high-quality skin care results meets luxury wellness experience, beyond your facial. I offer a unique, judgement free space and I am ready to meet you wherever you may be in your skincare journey. Each treatment is customized to your skin’s unique needs in the moment.

Please show up in any way that feels best for you. Clients often surprise me with apologies for being a little bit sweaty, or wearing makeup - or even for not washing their face beforehand! 

Any way that you show up to me is perfect. I know you have scheduled this into your busy life, and I am glad I have you for an hour or two! I will take you any way you come, and I am here to make you feel confident and beautiful in your skin!

Products

We've all wasted enough money on products that don't work, or on products we do love but have had a provider tell us to stop using - it feels like we are wasting money. If you have something you love that works for you, I am happy with that. If I feel that a product is not serving you based on the concerns you've mentioned to me, I will do my best to educate you on why these products might not be the best option, and provide you with alternatives that are more aligned with your skin goals.

I hate a hard sell. I'll tell you about the products I am using so you're informed about what is being used on your skin and why, but there is never any pressure to purchase the products I use or recommend! If you're looking for a new routine or a replacement for a step or two in your routine, I offer affordable samples of nearly everything I sell so you can feel confident about the investment you make in your skincare routine. If you're looking for products outside of what I carry, I do my best to stay updated on trends and research to provide you with expert opinions on suggested alternatives.

Gratuity

I don't accept tips. This was a decision I made very early on in my business and I love this. I hate being in the situation of not knowing if I should tip on certain types of services. I don't ever want my clients to wonder or feel uncomfortable. I don't accept tips on any service, the price you see is the price you get, unless we have specifically discussed changing or adding services to your appointment.

I love checking out my first-time clients because they often naturally ask about how they can include tips, and I love being able to see their reaction when I let them know I don't accept tips! Clients are always pleasantly surprised, and it is important to me to offer transparency when it comes to the price of services and treatments.
